Forge Experiences

Forge. Level up. These are the two words which I would never forget in my life. I would love to be part of more and more retreats. In a single line Forge has forged me to Level up.

I loved the cohort was diverse, a mix of screenwriting newcomers, emerging writers , and even a few industry professionals. The setting, people, content, mentorship and the time management stood out for me.

Joined this program with a destination of writing something. Never did i knew it would start a new journey and open up a whole new world of writing to me. Helped me appreciate art and bring out the creativity hidden inside me.

I was in doubt whether I could direct a scene properly, at the end of screening I got the answer. Now I can proudly write my name under written, cinematography and Directed by

Our mentor (Rahul) in his very first lecture, stated that this lecture will change our lives. In retrospect, I think that sentiment can be extended for the entire forge experience. From the batchmates we've made friends with, to the learnings we've aquired, it's all going to stay and add value to our lives till the end of time.

It’s an experience every creative person should have in life.

Forge was a lovely experience. I got an opportunity to meet peers and mentors who all share a common love of storytelling. I was instantly able to vibe with every single person, and it helped bring me out of my comfort zone, and gave me that extra push to give my all to writing my book's manuscript. The mentorship sessions with everyone were amazing. I've learnt a lot from Rahul, Praveen, and especially Praveena. The art of bringing more depth to my story, and its characters, is something I'm definitely going to incorporate into my book.

What I didn’t imagine happened. I managed to write synopsis for an entire web series of ten episodes, with well developed characters. All thanks to the space and mentorship provided by Forge. Loved it!

It was good as it was my first time experience with film making. I got to learn a lot on what not do and what to do.

"Forge is forge " it can't be replaced by anything,one of the best crew of filmmaking experts also the fellow students of my batchmates who purely love film making,when this two comes to one place and there is a nothing more beautiful than that where "Magic happens".

Overall, Forge was a nice experience because it gave us a platform to connect with likeminded people to make our own films and it gave us a push to explore more in the world of filmmaking.

Forge has exceptionally exceeded all my expectations on whole new level. This is definitely one of the best filmmaking bootcamps if not the best.

It was exactly something that I was looking for, a community for writing that I can be a part of. I learned varies new things. I made amazing friends.

It honestly helped boost my confidence. I feel a lot freer when it comes to experimenting and exploring. And at no point did the mentors leave us in the process. They made sure we finished our script, shoot etc.

Coming back felt like meeting a dear old friend again. Things were more mellow this time, but I surprised myself by wishing I could have done more in this pioneer edition of Forge Writing. Made some amazing new friends (again!) and it was fascinating to see familiar faces again! I love how so much of my personal blocks and doubts were catered to do kindly and my mentor Praveena, along with other mentors Praveen and Santhosh, I didn't feel like I was lacking. Thank you for having me again, would love to come back on another edition!

As a full-time filmmaker, I must commend Forge for successfully condensing the intricate process of filmmaking—from ideation to final output—into just seven days. Covering the fundamentals of direction, scriptwriting, cinematography, and editing within such a short time frame is no small feat, yet Forge managed to make it an engaging and enjoyable experience. A significant part of this success lies in the selection of the right participants. I had the privilege of working alongside a passionate, curious, and diverse group of individuals, who made this edition truly unforgettable.

Fantastic experience I got my direction of life on what I want to become and that’s a Film Director.

There is magic in the joy of bumping into each other at random crossroads, only to find out that something within us has always been common although we are only meeting for the first time. It is art, and all that we make of it with a sense of belonging, faith and the stories that make us our current versions. It shall always be art. Dear Forge- thank you for being an enabler of its kind, for your disruptive zest that brings together dreamers, for your generous intention towards making equitable diversity count and allowing space for cinema to be experimental, curious, dynamic and riveting. The possibilities are limitless, and what you’ve been attempting to do is a case study for the world of education to bring to all their classrooms, as they get experiential and accommodating. You have truly exemplified that there are no holds barred- it is a beautiful, liberating place to be. For children, educators, entrepreneurs, people. Many congratulations for being a phenomena that you are! I have walked back with more gratitude for life, love for stories of and as people, and a renewed vigor towards cinema as the most touching medium of expression. The experience shall become core moments of my life- moments becoming memories, memories that shall last a lifetime.
