It's a good palace to get introduction about how to write screenplay. Host and instructer was very friendly. If anyone wants to learn this art they can join here
Loved it got a lot of clarity about narration
Very crisp session and easy lang9and explanation for anyone to understand! Kept us attentive all 2 hrs
It was good that in two hours, they have covered so many topics and they give so much knowledge of it and we are little bit confident that we can join your advance course. Also, it’s a good opportunity for a new director who want to learn about filmmaking.
Great knowledge gained. I was never no about that we can understand the audience by our camera angles
The teaching is very good. The examples shown and pdf and very helpful.
Yes your a best filmaking teacher I ever heard thanks and I think my 99 rupees are gone for my filmaking development
It was a nice quick intro for filmmaking
The way the topics was explained was really made the concept understandable

More about cinematography and visual storytelling
I love the explanation and decoding scene of iruvar
New insights on lighting and photography
It's a fresh perspective towards approaching cinematography using real aspects of everyday life. The Ira Glass video on the creative process was really good! Addition of activity was a plus.
learning cinematography deeply with an amazing mentor
Explained about iruvar scene visual language.
About visual storytelling and cinematography
The session was very engaging and informative. The concepts were explained clearly with practical examples, which made them easy to understand. The trainer’s approach was friendly and motivating, and the overall flow of the class kept me interested throughout.
Good examples of scenes and their discussion.
I loved how clearly the session explained cinematography and visual storytelling, from the core concepts to real-world execution. Each part was well-structured and easy to understand, and the way ideas were broken down made even complex topics feel accessible and inspiring.
The week at the Forge has been, so far, the best and most productive week of my life. I met some amazing people with whom I could talk about the one obsession I have in life, filmmaking. My regret is that I didn't do this sooner.
This is the only program in which you learn filmmaking by doing filmmaking. Mark my words, "few years down, this levelup community will be an unavoidable factor in the Indian Film Industry"
The overwhelming team that has been doing great work preparing the people to be better by creating the best possible environment to support them to correct their mistakes and improve their performance.
I just randomly signed up for the forge, and this is the best decision of my life. I completed my my first short film from idea to screening. The mentors takes care us like child teaches in best way possible in everything from screenplay, cinematography, pre-production, production, post-production evrything. And how I can forget about the best part is SCREENING. That's why I'm very happy. There is a lot to say but I can't explain my experience and feeling in some lines or words. This is pure immersive experience. Thanks a lot THE FORGE TEAM 🥰🥰
Loved the experience a great learning opportunity. We get hands on practical experience to feel the atmosphere of how a film is made so very useful.
The biggest takeaway? 👉 You don’t need to become someone else to grow. You need to become clearer about who you already are. Edition 13 gave me: • Direction instead of noise • The entire Process with pressure 😅 • Community instead of comparison I walked in as a creator with questions. I walked out with conviction. Grateful to the Level Up team and every creator from Edition 13 who made this experience real, raw, and unforgettable. This wasn’t the end of a program. It was the beginning of alignment. — Krishna Atram Founder, BEFORE EARLY STUDIO
I loved the sense of community. Being surrounded by people who were just as driven, curious, and vulnerable made the process feel safe and inspiring at the same time. I loved the moments between the work - late conversations, shared doubts, small breakthroughs. That’s where the learning really stayed with me.
Overall, the Forge was a meaningful and enriching experience. I really loved the learning environment, the exposure to new ideas , and the opportunity to interact with diverse people. The sessions were engaging and encouraged self-reflection, teamwork, and personal growth. The Mentors were supportive and made the experience enjoyable and impactful. Despite a few challenges, the forge helped me gain valuable insights and memories that i will carry forward.
Workshop provided us a great dimension on Film Making and it is really helpful as a working maker like me to learn from home. Thank you level up for your initiatives.
The Forge was more than a workshop, it was a perspective shift. What I loved most about The Forge was the intention behind everything. Nothing felt rushed or superficial; every conversation pushed us closer to why we create. It was a safe space to be vulnerable, to fail, and to explore ideas without fear of judgment. The mentors didn’t just teach, they listened, which made it easier to trust the process and take creative risks. You walked in with questions and left with better, deeper ones. More than anything, The Forge reminded me that storytelling isn’t about approval, but about honesty. That shift in mindset is what truly stayed with me.
It was one of the best experiences i have had and definitely would never forget anything that i learnt here. Made super valuable connections there which are gonna go long way. Even forge team was awesome with everything and everything was very supportive and helpful
The Forge is THE ONE AND probably THE ONLY place to get wholesome film making hands-on experience and that to in the best way possible. The team here knows what they are doing and even better, they know what they want you to do as well. You do that and exactly that and you walk away from the program with happiness and gratitude on the left and right wings of your heart. Thank you team Forge for making me make my dream and showing me that " I am still worthy " ; (
I loved everything about forge. The excitement, the community, the supprt, the stress of shooting, the nervousness of editing, the anxiety of holding cameras & making a film for someone, the wait for the screening & the response on the films after the screening.
Forge is once in a lifetime experience, I never thought I would spend a week with complete strangers learning filmmaking, making friends and shooting. I’m happy I enrolled.
Had a great learning experience at The Forge. Although there are many things that could have been done better but considering all is done in just 8 days, and we end up making our own cinema in just 8 days is a milestone in itself.
Forge was more than just a filmmaking program it was an experience that pushed me out of my comfort zone and reminded me why I fell in love with cinema. From ideation to execution, every step felt real and hands-on. The mentors didn’t just teach techniques; they challenged our thinking and encouraged us to trust our stories. What I loved most was the environment being surrounded by passionate filmmakers, collaborating under pressure, and actually creating a film rather than just talking about it. Forge helped me gain clarity, confidence, and a deeper respect for the craft. It truly feels like a meaningful step forward in my filmmaking journey.
The level up learning center has provided with an excellent learning process to all specially person like me who wants to learn out of busy schedule
Honestly the best gif t I have got out this forge program, before this year ends is the sheer confidence. The confidence , that says that you don’t need to get everything figured out before you jump. You just need great people to jump and the process will automatically mould it into something magical. Aaaand there’s truly nothing enabling than that. Thank you, to the entire forge team for the experience. You guys would be in a lot of blessings!
The Forge is a rare space to get truly hands-on with filmmaking. Whether you step in as a director, actor, or technician, you’re encouraged to wear multiple hats, and in the process, you realise it’s never just your film, it’s the team’s. A valuable experience for anyone hungry to learn, collaborate, and apply the craft in real conditions. Highly recommended.
It was truly the most wholistic and immersive experience I could’ve ever asked for in a beginner friendly filmmaking atmosphere. The mentors were so kind and helpful and the cohort was full of bright and sweet people. I didn’t think it was even possible to learn so much in so little time. And in the funnest way possible. The course and additional material and mentors and guides and everyone at the resort made a whole week feel so short and fleeting. It was the best platforms for me to get a start on something I find so sacred. there’s always some apprehension that what you want is far beyond your reach, at forge it all seems possible. More than anything the team at forge makes for such a healthy and fun place to learn. I’ll always thank my stars for the Instagram ad that led me to this course :))
Guidance, hospitality, food, accomodation, building network almost everything was well designed.
I loved how I was able to meet some great friends whom I will work with in the future and how I met people from everywhere and found a sense of familiarity in our passions and dreams and how we were able to make art together.
best spontaneous decision ever! Met so many amazing people from all over India with such varied backgrounds! That in itself was worth the price of admission but you also get to make movies!? I’m sold. Taught me a lot about filmmaking and equipped me to go out there and make my next project!
I really loved the environment. The people you know some people don’t even know what is filmmaking and they just came up with a story. Some personal story and FORGE made them do filmmaking. It might not be perfect, but you know they actually did something which didn’t felt amateur.
Absolutely loved the entire experience. Made major strides towards visualising and executing my ideas. Got to experiment with equipment I had never touched before. And the final day of screening, where I got to show my film to all my peers and mentors was probably one of the greatest moments of my artistic career.
Clarity about the multiple AI platforms to scorned various tasks
I came up with zero knowledge then I learned half of the screen writing about scene writing and structure . Theme of the story , character arcs this webinar was very informative we want more webinars like this
The mentor who was taking the class really looked like he was passionate and he did really taught everything while keeping everyone engaged and the one thing I hate the most was how he was eager to teach us more
i loved this workshop but i expected all the topics would be touched.
I liked how detailed the workshop was. What takes years to learn, I got to learn about it in 2 hours
I loved attending the workshop. It helped me so much . I will make a short film for sure! Now i am pumped
It's inspiring for new ones who can enter the film industry
Interactive and knowledgeable. Focusing on a film and discussing about it helps you understand better.
The session was very informative. The presentation was very clear and easy to understand. I especially loved the trainer's supportive attitude and the Q&A session.

I genuinely loved how today’s session broke down Kalki 2898 AD from a filmmaker’s view. Participating felt exciting because every segment revealed something new about world-building, symbolism, character design, and visual grammar. I especially enjoyed learning the small but powerful details that a filmmaker should consciously notice. The breakdown was not just informative; it was inspiring and eye-opening.
The detailed explanation about the characters that played in KALKI 2898 AD

Basically I'm a student aspiring to become a film director but I'm really confused where to start . Eventually this masterclass let me know the ABC's of film direction which was delivered in a structured manner. Thank You LevelUp learning !!!
I was not that sure about this workshop of direction but yes indeed this was so good, infact the best because in a short period of time what we can expect better than this. Short, crist and to the point. Thanks a ton.
It was great to learn the basics of film direction. I loved it as it was explained minutely and with great examples, which were easy to understand.
It was good to learn about film making with you
Well the roadmap is crystal clear for the beginners and only if they follow that it will help them to get somewhere near to the place where they want to be. So it is a good class
The workshop clearly mentioned how to make a shortfilm in easy way. What are methodology technical part. Which helped me to clear my blocks. Now I'm cleared of my blocks so that I can come up with a short flim ASAP. Thank you level Up for the wonderful work shop with the affordable price. Keep doing the same All the best 😉

Visual examples and how the host had us involved .
The focus was on the basics and to a very detailed level.
I really loved how engaging and hands‑on the workshop was. The mix of practical exercises and clear explanations made it easy to connect theory with real application. I also appreciated the collaborative atmosphere—everyone was encouraged to share ideas, which sparked some creative discussions. Most of all, I enjoyed walking away with tangible skills and insights that I can immediately apply to my own projects.
the way the mentor explains the things to the beginners and the no budget short-film tip which are really useful for my film.
The examples that rahul gave with respect to movies, shots and scenes from parasite to many other sources.
Thank you for the amazing workshop! I loved the warm and engaging environment and the clarity with which everything was explained. It truly motivated me, and I hope others join this enriching learning community too.
What I loved most about the workshop was learning about film equipment and how to use it in a cinematic way. The biggest takeaway for me was when the mentor said that films should communicate through visuals. The example from the movie Parasite gave a really deep understanding of visual storytelling. I also liked how he explained that strong films can be made even on a low budget. Overall, the session was very interactive and inspiring.

I loved how sir took scenes and broke them down and explained them tonua, i found it very useful.
I really liked his method of explanation, especially the scene he choose to explain screenplay. I would also like to appreciate the range of the movies selected for explanation.
I love the structure of the session. It is organised, well curated and engaging.
Dan Harmon's Story Cycle was interesting and new to learn.
i learned new thing the way of making film and the process behind the camera and it is so useful for every film i wanna make
Learnt some new things which i heard for first time
Forge wasn’t just a program for me, it was a turning point. In just 12 days, I went from holding a camera to creating my own short film. The best part was being mentored by professionals who’ve worked on Emmy-nominated projects and Netflix films was surreal but what stood out most was how personally invested they were in us. They pushed us, corrected us, stayed back late, and taught us from real experience.
The workshop gave a clear understanding of screenplay structure, covering both 3-act and 5-act formats. It explained how to build strong characters, write natural dialogues, and focus on visual storytelling. The session also showed how to create a powerful climax. Overall, a simple, practical, and very useful workshop for new writers.
It was v well structured, the language was devoid of jargon n Sarvesh sir was not just very generous with his knowledge (easily sharing tips n his personal experiences) but also very inspiring n motivating. Also, his experiences were real-time n up to date with recent film making techniques. That was awesome.
The clear cut explanation about the screenwriting and scene writing and all the movie related stuff
More knowledge about new structures in writing
Very detailed useful info on writing and all
very good interaction, had so much to learn
author such a great prespective love you sarvesh
The way it taught us the basics of film making, and an aspiring director, it gave me professional insights to look at things
the teaching style is very easy but there should be something for Hindi speaking people also oththerwise they wont be engaged
My experience with the screenwriting workshop was really great. Praveen taught us so nicely, using many examples to help us understand each concept clearly. He was very patient, explained things again whenever needed, and made sure everyone was following along. He also asked questions frequently, which kept the session interactive and engaging. Overall it was very helpful and enjoyable learning experience.
The process of teaching is very easy , but only thing many people from north are much comfortable in Hindi and work in Hindi so there should be something for them also
It's not that I didn't had a story, but this course gave me more clearance how to structure it.
